In order to appeal to the three main learning styles of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learners we will be presenting our final project as a narrated PowerPoint presentation with a complementary research paper.
PowerPoint is a very visual medium, built to be used in a brief bullet point format with engaging graphics and accompanying audio to expand on the basic information. This is a format that can appeal to the Gen Y'ers who enjoys getting their information in chunks versus long text documents.
A traditionally crafted paper will appeal to the Baby Boomer / Gen X'er audiences that might be intimidated by technology and prefer a more traditional approach. This group is predisposed to be comfortable reading sentences with correct grammar, punctuation, and syntax.
PowerPoint with audio will appeal to kinesthetic learners as they get to click and "navigate." It will also appeal to auditory learners who like to listen and visual learners with the inclusion of graphics.
The two mediums together will allow us to engage a broad and diverse audience.
